The European Union has authorized MAXBIOS, a preparation of Bacillus subtilis DSM 28343, for the use in weaned piglets until August 2028.
MAXBIOS is a probiotic preparation of the spore-forming probiotic strain Bacillus subtilis DSM 28343. Already in 2016, MAXBIOS has been approved as a feed additive for chickens for fattening and has achieved convincing results in the improvement of gut health since then. Now, the EU followed EFSA's recommendations and authorized MAXBIOS for use in weaned piglets. Several trials showed that MAXBIOS has a great potential to increase weaning weight, daily live weight gain and the feed conversion ratio in weaners. MAXBIOS is assigned to the additive category ‘zootechnical additives’ as a ‘gut flora stabilizer’.
Provita Supplements has launched its new product MAXACTIVAT at VIV Europe 2018. MAXACTIVAT/Zn is an innovative zinc oxide that has been activated in a special production process and can help to prevent diarrhea in weaned piglets even when supplemented according to EU animal feed legislation.
From the 20th to the 22th of June Provita Supplements was represented at the VIV Europe 2018 in Utrecht. With 600 exhibitors from 43 countries and around 25,000 visitors, VIV Europe is one of the top B2B events for all professionals in the livestock industry.
At the VIV Europe, we presented our new booth for the first time. On all three days, experts from all over the world dropped in and showed great interest in Provita Supplements and our products. Many of our international clients took the opportunity for personal meetings with our team and to catch up on our product innovations.
We would like to thank all visitors and our partners for contributing to the successful event.
This year’s BOKU Symposium was dedicated to “Processing of feeding stuffs for compound feed production”.
At this event in Vienna, Provita Supplements introduced the “Impact of a dietary probiotic supplementation with Enterococcus faecium DSM 7134 on the performance of fattening pigs”. The presented results of a current university trial showed an efficient nutrient utilization by the pigs with probiotic supplementation.
In March 2016, we joined the Pig, Poultry & Dairy Focus Asia conference that brought together global sector experts for its Asian audience.
This event was held in the centre of Southeast Asia, in Bangkok, Thailand. Provita Supplements attended the Dairy sessions on 21st and 22nd of March to present MAXFIBER as "Functional feedstuff for improved rumen Fermentation".
Provita Supplements presented MAXLYSINAT Cu as a new, innovative and unique source of copper at the BAT Consultants’ Conference in Freising, Germany, on 1 October 2015. The product is the first and only copper chelate based on lysine complexes that is approved for all animal species throughout the EU.
MAXLYSINAT Cu meets even the most demanding requirements in terms of an animal nutrition that focuses on animal performance and health. The poster on “Bioavailability of copper lysinate in weaners” presented at the conference is available here...
Monoglycerides (MCMs) are gaining more and more importance in animal nutrition, in addition to conventional organic acids such as formic acid, propionic acid and lactic acid.
We have therefore expanded our range of acids to include MAXACID MCM, which consists of a mixture of esterified, medium-chain fatty acids. For more background information please click here...
A paper on the “Effect of probiotic supplementation with Enterococcus faecium DSM 7134 on sow performance“ was presented at the 14th BOKU Symposium in Vienna.
Trials have confirmed improved intestinal health and particularly high sow performance throughout the entire reproductive cycle when sows were given a supplement of E. faecium DSM 7134 in their feed.
